round and round

LOVE these bicycles from Velorbis

I really really want a bicycle when I go back home after graduation...most people would aim for a car but I would LOVE one of these (:

Sunshine

I miss the sunshine...not the reflection of the sun shining off of some high-rise building but just sitting under the sunshine....

...My Senior Thesis Collection...

SO CLOSE IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY

I got my collection photographed today (:

I still have a few little things to finish up (hems, hair accessories, bags, line sheet, etc.), and I am perfectly content with the way things have turned up (:

I also just bought a sony handycam

So far I'm really liking it. It's super small, easy to use, and the quality is great for the price. So get ready for some random clips of my thesis collection in action (:

unneccesary anxiety

Since I'll be home from March 18 - 23, I had to force myself to get as much work done this weekend so I wouldn't be screwed when I got back. Thus I worked from Wednesday - Saturday night only taking breaks for meals, and at night to sleep obviously. It started off ok but come Thursday I was feeling so overwhelmed and suffocated by my work load. This feeling led right into Friday morning when I woke up in a panic, emailed my boss to tell him I wouldn't be coming in, then went back to bed after reading a passage from My Utmost for His Highest.
I felt better when I woke up, and started listening to all of the songs from the David Crowder Band.

It really really helped me calm down and re-focus my attention. It made me realize that...

-what I'm doing is making clothes and not saving lives
-I'm doing something that I love doing so I should be grateful
-that this is all temporary and there are far more important things to take care of
-I'll get it done sooner or later
-I can only do my best

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...

...My thesis is NOT my life, it is just a project for SCHOOL that has the potential to affect my career if it is meant to be...

I had this engraved into my mind first semester which is why I was able to work so happily and efficiently but somewhere along the the line I put more pressure on myself for no reason.

Anyway, now that look 5 and 6 are ready to be fit, NOT complete but ready to be fit on March 24, I can breathe a little easier. But for now until I leave I'm going to work on cleaning up my portfolio because I have my first interview for a REAL job on Thursday in LA with Right Bank Babies. It'd be great if it works out.

2 Cool 2 B 4 Gotten

It's been a pretty cool couple of weeks.

I finished look #4....

It's definitely one of my favorite pieces in my collection (: and I'm thrilled with the results. Now I'm working on look #5 and I'm about half way through.

We also had midterm presentations and if I can get myself to quit being such a goober, I think I'll do a decent job in front of the panel in April...I can only hope.

OOH and a couple of Ugil's friends from church came into the city early last week. Even though it was ridiculously cold outside, it was super nice to explore and enjoy the city with them (:

Today a couple of my classmates and I went to the ENK Children's Club Show and it was AMAZING! We seriously owe a lot to our teachers for getting us guess passes. It was a trade show where all these children's wear companies set up booths and buyers will come around and make orders and stuff. We walked around, met a lot of really great people and some great contacts. We also got to watch the fashion show. I was a great show and really inspiring.

I'm coming home in 10 days!! (: can't wait
